Podcasting 1.0 was invented by Adam Curry. It remained stagnant for many years until Adam Curry :pci: :pc2blue: (npub1fmx…wp74) (Curry) & Dave (npub1rcn…dw4h) (Jones) introduced the new Podcasting 2.0 namespace and over the past 5 years, this group created the 28+ tags/features.
The success of Podcasting 2.0 can be measured by the adoption of the namespace. e.g Apple, Spotify, Amazon and a plethora of hosts/apps.
However the people not adopting Podcasting 2.0 (tags) are the podcast creators and I think I know why.
