I agree with everything you say in this thread.

I will, however, urge people to read the manual and search official wikis before asking. I know that asking the question is about more than just finding the answer, and community members should be welcoming, but writing all that documentation is *part* of being welcoming. It's the community tools at the bike cooperative.

Not using the manual/wiki is refusing the first offered hand of help.

Now, you may not find your answer, but you may find information that can help others solve your problem.

The other side of this, of course, is (as I said) complete agreement with your point. Folks need to not be jerks.
