Tomáš Janoušek (nprofile…z8u4) I don't think there was a good way to make that suggestion. For one thing, I think you may have missed some important context that GOTN is currently on a long-distance cycling adventure - over 200 miles so far, and I think she said she hoped to do 1200.
But beyond that, directly suggesting to people that they expand their horizons can often land badly (or at least it tends to in English). Also, I read GOTN's post as wanting emotional support, not problem solving.
