The Divimath digital VTX system would allow me to install less hardware on the drone, however, I still would need a mini computer like the Rock 5B+ to do some AI processing.

For example, I want object tracking. Doing this directly on the drone would be really nice, but that would require a computer to process the video.

So whether or not I choose Divimath is irrelevant, as I need a computer onboard the drone anyways.

Therefore, using OpenHD is fine as I can use the Rock 5B+ to transmit video and to process frames from the video with AI.
Apparently, the Divimath digital video transmission system does not support 1080p 60FPS.

I am therefore going to build a completely custom DIY solution using OpenHD. This will be a fun project!

I have just purchased two of the ALFA Network AWUS036ACH. One will be used as the air unit on the drone (VTX), and the other will be the ground unit that receives the video signal (VRX).

I can’t use the Raspberry Pi 4B to encode the video because it can’t do 60FPS, so I need a different SBC. Currently, I’m consider Rock 5B+. It even features a full sized HDMI input, so I can just plug the Sony FX3 directly into the port without having to use something like the BliKVM C790.
