Many silent gen here had 4, 5 or more kids. (White Australians, where women typically stopped work when they fell pregnant with their first, or on marriage!)

Boomer women were more likely to go to uni, not marry until well into their 20s & delay having children a few years longer as a result. (Lots of exceptions of course!)
