I’m wondering whether governments are using anti-boomer sentiment to try to get away with neglecting these people. Of course wealthy boomers should pay for their own care! And those who aren’t wealthy?

And the fact that “old age” disqualifies people from the same level of care available as “disabled” people is rubbish.

I’m not sure what the answer is. Aging in place might be “best” & cheapest, but it’s also loneliest for oldies living alone or just with a carer. That loneliness & its impact on both mental & physical health is huge.

But the current system, especially this bloody algorithm, is clearly failing. And appears to have been designed to fail.
