When I was raised in "Christian patriarchy", the sales pitch is that men will protect & cherish you, but right now it feels like they are trying to sell the trad life WITHOUT the promise of the protection & affection of men. The "trad" men are all out there telling everyone they can how much they hate *all* women & that they want to get married so that they can abuse & control a woman with impunity.
It's a really bad sales pitch.
