It could be so many things. Banking apps may target a baseline #android #SDK version just low enough for the #microg implementation to kick-in but without the latest Google Play #spyware "features".

#microg is as barebones as possible by design. And that is making all the difference I guess. One more reason to take a serious look at the #murena and #iodeos offerings.

From a privacy-focused perspective, #MicroG clearly has the advantage. While Google #PlayServices even when sandboxed, are still designed to collect certain telemetry and diagnostics, MicroG deliberately avoids collecting or transmitting such data.
