The interview was a long-running collection of missed opportunities. He intentionally softened his claimed positions in exchange for increased exposure. It was disappointing.
The only notable push-back was on the Joe Kent topic, which anyone could have seen coming from miles away. Almost all of the topics could have been seen though... which is another reason why the calculated softening isn't going to land well for anyone that knows what's going on.
The backstory interview tour needs to come to an end.
