The focus of asylum seekers is a really good distraction from what we need to do rapidly to deal with the poverty and lack of investment in services:
- tax the rich
- train and invest in a nationwide home retrofit of insulation, double glazing and solar panels, this will provide lots of jobs and cut bills
- invest and train people in renewable energy such as turbines and solar
