i did checkupdates, got back a list of packages that can be updated.
later on i decided to run `sudo pacman --sync -yu` and there's nothing to be updated, not even the databases. checkupdates shows nothing anymore. the log doesn't have any updates because i didn't update and when i compare it to the arch website i can see that i'm on the old versions.
what is this? an attack? software jank? outdated mirrors? evil magic?
