The logo and the animal are going to be block printed using sumi ink, raw pigments and rice paste. Then I'll emboss them.
The cover will be made from thick card covered with canvas, with the design visible through a window. I'll block print the border onto the canvas probably either with rubber based opaque ink or possibly do an ink stencil (I'll have to experiment).
There's also going to be printed end-papers on the inside, but I haven't decided how to do those yet. Possibly screen printing. It'll most likely be a very simple design.
I'm hoping to sell them for €35 each RRP, and €25 whenever there's a sale. The interior will be 100 pages of either lined, gridded, dotted or cartridge paper made up to order. First page will have a book plate. I considered printing the lines myself but it's too much work for too little reward, so I'm going to farm that job out to a print shop.
