A while ago I degoogled and went around hundreds of old accounts changing my email address and closing accounts I didn't want anymore. More than a few don't allow email address changes, and some don't let you close your account via the web or app.
In both cases, GDPR comes to the rescue. One email and they're forced to fix things in the most expensive way for them.
