I think what frustrates me about this is the complete lack of mutual respect for being a freak (affectionately) - I recall getting into kink spaces around 2015 and I swear most people understood "yeah we all weirdos, sup".

Ideally the communication would be better, I agree, but it's like the self awareness has gotten shittier too.
