Anyway...I think there are natural barriers to autistic people communicating with allistic people, but I think there are other barriers that are created by this type of gaslighting.
We don't trust ourselves even when we do correctly read a social interaction because people don't like our *response* to that, so they tell us we misunderstood—EVEN WHEN WE DEFINITELY DIDN'T.
