So, I graduated high school 20 years ago today.
I’ve been spending most of 2025 in a state of reflection, and likely a bit of early mid-life crisis mode if I’m totally honest.
To make things more weird - my youngest sister got married on Saturday - just a few weeks after graduating from university.
Has my life turned into what I hoped? In many ways - no - many dreams have been shattered if I look only at my health and the disappointments that’s thrown my way.
But - absolutely YES - in other ways. I’m free, independent, fierce, intelligent, and I escaped the claws of a religious upbringing in the American south and now live my best life with my spouse of 11 years in Canada.
So… I’d say overall, I’m living my best life. Thank you all for being here with me.
