Second raised planter outfitted with a hardware cloth lid. The underside of the planters are outfitted with chicken wire, to discourage tunneling critters. The planters rest atop bricks: as seedling trees grow, their roots will stop at the air-gap below. This will permit later bare-root transplantation.
