The new measure tool in freecad is so much better than it used to be in the past. I fumbled a bit at first, but without reaching for documentation, I put it in distance mode, clicked two points at the ends of the model and it gave me both the delta-y and the point-to-point distances.

This won't fit the printer at the #library so now I'll try to learn how to turn it into two click-together pieces. Ideas welcome!
