I was very much against all those Polytechnics and Technical colleges becoming universities. Far better to have the universities remaining academic and the others remaining practical.
I have both kinds - an HND and a BA.
Without a real world work experience element both are of lesser value. My HND had a work experience element before I started then it vanished when I got to that point.
People are questioning the ROI of further education when it comes to loans.
