Imagine you are a trans Medicaid patient in long-term care, and now your nursing home refuses to give you HRT because your care is funded in part by the federal government. So depending on what your transition consisted of, you are now faced with forced detransition or your body’s systems going out of wack from having no primary sex hormone.
That is the “lesser evil” you are asking trans Iowans to vote for. I need you to own that before you call them selfish.
