Banning federal funds towards all trans care is not some blasé minor inconvenience. It’s elderly trans people suddenly being unable to maintain the care they might have had for decades. It’s entire hospital networks dropping trans care because they don’t want to get blacklisted from grants and any federally subsidized insurance. It’s support services shutting down. It’s all that throughout the United States, millions of Americans abandoned for so-called political expediency.
