"content": "SAZERAC\n\n\n\nrinse glass with absinthe\n\n3 dashes Peychauds bitters\n\n¼ oz demerara syrup\n\n2 oz Sazerac rye\n\n\n\nGarnish: lemon peel\n\nMethod: Use an atomizer to rinse your serving glass with absinthe. Combine the remaining ingredients in a stirring glass with ice and stir. Strain into the glass, express lemon peel, and use as garnish.\n\n\n\nAnother boozy stir for a cold winter night. This version of the legendary cocktail comes from the book Cure: New Orleans drinks and how to mix 'em, page 29. I finally found an affordable bottle of Sazerac in Germany and thought the titular cocktail was the logical test pilot. For the photo I also tested a new lighting setup.
