Correct. They did not use LLM AI, more likely an Expert System trained on exactly one task, like folding proteins or reiterating a simulated test 5 million times. Something time intensive that machines are VERY good at where humans suck. There's no way they fired up Claude or ChatGPT to make an mRNA vaccine.
