I doubt that anyone will misunderstand the scope of a conversation when the only term used in part of it is just calling it 'AI'.
In this specific case, I have no clue about what detailed nuances were included in what Moderna's AI workflow was, nor in what distinctions could be made. Their own authored and published article called it "AI" as an all-encompassing term. I'm actually doubtful they used any 'generative' AI at all, ie., a 'prompt' CLI type AI, but again, IDK.
