Keep your whataboutism away from this discussion. You're the one pointing fingers here. I pointed out the mistrust, and stopped there. In fact, if you read carefully, the point I was trying to make is that both sides have issues against one another, and both sides need to work their differences. Until then, gung-ho idealist like you won't go anywhere.
This mistrust has a good reason to exist. Again, it is more than a millennium old. So don't come to me with your postmodernist lingo pretending that everything was peaceful before. You pointed out enough incidents to know that it wasn't. This issue has nothing to do with being played, modern propaganda, jews (at least no consistently), goyim, or any postmodernist fantasy you have. This is a classic issue in Islam, it started in the first century and evolved since then. Read history.
You clearly calling the pot black while forgetting how black your kettle is: wishing the closest thing to a Sunni rule to fail just to prove a point that doesn't exist anywhere outside your mind. Well, be happy, New Syria is not going anywhere useful without the rest of the region/ummah standing up together. They'll fail. Not because they're Sunni or they serve this or that. They'll fail because even if they adhere perfectly to every/any Islamic oriented rule, they cannot do it alone; eventually will fail. So, you must be such a genius to bet on something like that.
