"This is a report on what is most likely to happen in Iran, as early as this weekend, according to Israeli insiders and American officials I’ve relied upon for decades. It will entail heavy American bombing. I have vetted this report with a longtime US official in Washington, who told me that all will be “under control” if Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei “departs.”
According to him, Trump has delayed any US strikes against Iran because he didn't want to disrupt the markets. Trump's plan goes beyond destroying Iran's nuclear development. The intent is to cause mass destabilization, similar to previous US campaigns in Libya and Syria.
If what Hersh reports comes to pass and a decision has been already made, there is a greater likelihood that this backfires on Trump and on the empire. They won't be successful at destroying Fordow, they won't overthrow Khamenei, and they will see themselves involved in a bigger mess than before.
Iran will be the graveyard of Trump's administration.
