I am currently reading Wereconifer by Polenth Blake, which is the sequel to their previous book Werecockroach.
It is a lovable cozy fantasy series about a very queer found family of shapeshifters in the middle of an alien invasion. The aliens are mostly obsessed with fancy hats and socks.
I highly recommend it.
