Trying to solve a modern parent problem:

I want to give my kid an MP3 player for his birthday so he can listen to music + podcasts without handing him a dopamine casino disguised as a smartphone.

I’ve got an old Android phone I could lock down, but then I’m still teaching phone habits, interfaces, notifications, swipe-brain, all that bullshit.

So I’m looking for a real standalone player.

Need:

- podcasts
- Bluetooth headphones
- simple controls
- no browser
- no app store
- no addictive glowing nonsense
- not stupid expensive
