Oh I read that one this year too! We seem to have similar tastes ;) I also got mine from the library! Teehee.
I'm only 15% in so far, but it is creepy spooky in a very good way (coming from someone who does not do horror or creepy at all). It did start off quite slow and took me a bit to get settled, but now that I am, wow. LOVE. Very fascinating world building.
