I will not write a donation appeal today, because I have started to fear that I already know the outcome… I will write, explain, and plead for help, only to find that no hand reaches out to me.

For weeks, I have been asking for help.

I am suffering from recurrent bleeding and need blood transfusions and medical treatment. At the same time, I am afraid I will lose my chance to return to work simply because I cannot afford the costs of the training I need.

Today, my children started their school year, and they went to school without even the most basic stationery and school supplies.

I am not asking for luxury, nor do I dream of anything extravagant. I am asking for simple necessities — things that should be ordinary in the life of any mother and her children.

I am both a mother and a father, trying to carry my family on my own through everything we are living through.

So I want someone to answer me honestly:

Do you believe I do not deserve help?

I do not look at other campaigns with envy, and I do not want to compare my suffering to anyone else’s. But I am simply asking you to look closely at the donation list.

Some people have raised thousands of dollars, while after weeks of asking for help, I have received only $17.

Just $17.

I want someone to answer me.
Look at this list and tell me: Where is the problem? Why is what I am going through met with such overwhelming silence?

I am sorry for writing so openly, but I am writing this while crying — not only because of the pain I am living through, but because of the weight of feeling that your suffering is seen… and then passed over as though it means nothing.

I am not asking for the impossible.
I am only asking not to be left alone.
