To be honest, I don't see ChatGPT as anything more than a convenience over what the Internet already made possible.
The Internet already makes you extra capable, and it already requires self-discipline and focus management (especially since the social media era).
But as a teaching assistant, I am somewhat horrified how much it makes students not learn anything.
(On the other hand I bet there were generations of equally horrified teaching assistants before me)
Also, I don't quite get how smoking cigarettes can make people feel extra capable.
