what are your thoughts and analysis of the russian raskolnik cults (the so-called "old believers" and such) from my understanding, the raskolniks were a neo-donatist movement that painfully murdered their entire families and themselves over the following: the spelling of the name "Jesus", the rewording of a creed, how the Sign of the Cross was done, a lessening of Prophora, the direction of procession, and the adding of a "Alleluia" to a chant. yes there was persecutions(over what was previously discussed), but literal Jim Jones mass suicide was done by them. Many raskolniks have lessened the doomsday cult aspect but there is still insanity, such as various Bezpopovtsy or priestless sects, most of which totally reject all marriage for anyone and believe that the one true church™️ has ceased to exist (thus rejecting communion/eucharist and all clergy). What do you think causes this?
