Thanks everyone, solved it as suggested by installing Gparted and setting it to GPT. After that it worked fine with Disks.

Can anyone tell me how to format a 4TB HDD in ext4 so that the partition takes up all of the 4TB?
At the moment it just goes to 2TB.
I'm using the Disks app in Linux Mint.
GUI solutions preferred but I can do CLI if there's no other option.
