For a lot of teams the Mac Studio line is the real story. An open-weight agentic model on a single box, pointed at internal tools, with no data going to an external API. The ops side is the same as any other service. Watch time to first token and tokens per second, queue depth when more than one user hits it, and thermal throttling. The failure mode nobody tests is a long running agentic job holding the whole machine and slowing down every other request. Treat the serving process like a production service and you get most of the value with a small blast radius.
