The fediverse isn't spared from spam and phishing campaigns.
They leverage two of the most popular fediverse platforms (Mastodon and Pixelfed) to launch these campaigns, and despite Pixelfed implementing a 30d limit before new accounts can send a DM, they still can get around that.
This is where trusted federated intelligence services could be used to help instances detect and classify spam in real time, before it can spread.
