@RobotDiver just suggested a brilliant technique to keep pets cool (and guess what -- it works on humans too). Anyways, I took some small hand-towels, wet them, let them dry off a bit, then stuck them in the freezer.

So how do you power your freezer.....

mine runs for about 10 months a year on Solar Energie.

A fan and a mister jet is a better option for inside.
Mister jets outside are very efficient for cooling and depending on water price,cheap.
