The first thing I consider is HOW the language is being used. Is it the general language spoken widely? Is it very specific to a group of people (trade tongue? Thieves cant? Limited to an guild?).
Who speaks it? It depends on the characters and the story. In Jhana's story, there is the general tongue, the lingua franca that everyone knows. But depending on the social class you come from, it's spoken differently.
