Eddys Leonard came to bat with 2 outs and no one on base. He laid off ball 1, but fouled off balls 2, 3, [correction - he swung at ball 4, but laid off of ball 5]. Ball 6, low and roughly in the middle of the plate, was driven into LF, as Leonard joined Willy Adames as the only 2 Giants with a hit this evening.
Susac pinch hit for Cavenaugh, and promptly struck out, ending the inning.
On to the 9th inning, 7-0 Detroit.
