Not true whatsoever. People don’t need to be fixated in one place anymore due to the internet and the rise of the digital nomad.

It’s also rare adults will spend 100-200 hours these days to become friends which is what the retreat setting offers. Even if you go back home to different cities, people keep in contact online. There is always a possibility to moving to the same city one day, starting in person communities, starting businesses together, and many other things that weren’t possible before the retreat.

I’ve seen it happen where people meet at a retreat then move close to one another to build a community.
