Sure, I certainly believe that people with short attention span and hyperactivity should receive support. But the idea that a diagnosis *explains the cause* of these traits is completely unfounded.
"You have ADHD" is equivalent to saying "You have a short attention span and hyperactivity". Which is exactly what school teachers and parents have been telling kids for thousands of years. It's a tautology.
