For the UK gardeners, I’m provisionally a bit unimpressed with Farmer Gracy corms/bulbs.

I ordered nine different things, and only four of them are behaving as I’d like: none of the three geraniums has come up (geraniums, ffs! If you leave half an inch of root in the ground they come back!), only one of the two phlox, I’ll give them a rain check on the nerines (one of five is showing a little green, but they are a bit later), no signs of life from the bergamot, and the two aquilegia “white barlow” are distinctly pink.

I’ll give it a bit longer for the nerines to have longer, but then I think I’ll be complaining. And if I get a voucher, I’ll get a couple of autumn-planting things (like that made allium I want), but otherwise I don’t think I’ll be using them again.

In comparison, all of my 3 for £5 Wilco packets have come up, even if the peonies are stubbornly staying two inches tall.
