#PSA: **We're all here because we are not all there.**
This chestnut of a phrase does in some ways explain why people are on the #Fediverse: they do not like some of the effects or implications of other #SocialMedia platforms.
For exactly the same reasons some individuals and communities choose to not federate with centralized platforms like Blue, Threads, and Gander. The #fedi is often deliberately #tribal, and it is a feature not a bug.
Being respectful of peoples choices is expected.
