#WritersCoffeeClub 9 Apr: How much room for the fantastical is there in your work?
The current WIP is a fantasy trilogy, so there's a lot of room. It's a portal fantasy, though once the guy from our world falls through into the other land, he's stuck there for the three books. Books one and two have powerful magic users. Book 3 is less magic focused, but it's still there.
I have tried writing short stories without magic, but they feel flat and uninteresting until something magical intrudes.
