didn't work on my silly #golang project tonight but i spent time diving into the structure of go modules.
quite a bit has changed with the language in the last decade-ish since i've used it. i'll probably work on my silly project tomorrow. i got a little side tracked with the docs and noodling around with a couple of source files.
