For some reason protesters started attacking infrastructure and shooting people. Which resulted in a violent crackdown against the protests, which made the protests more popular. Now the regime has cut internet access. 38 people dead, 2000+ arrests. I'm not Iranian, I just had a look through a bunch of both western and Iranian news sources earlier.
