Meshtastic isn't working good at all for multiple reasons.
(Can't scale and reliably deliver traffic past few hops is the most problematic outcome of its design.)
HW stays the same, just flashing different MC FW is needed.
(Only perhaps there might be not that good coverage yet in area where you are present with the HW most often. For me, didn't happen.)
