I asked why they don't just support Lightning - instant payments. Their reply was user experience. For two days, I am trying to help a friend pay a Coinbase payment gateway invoice using their super complicated setup. He is a sysadmin, so no tech newbie. He is not a customer of coinbase, he just wants to pay an invoice using an open payment network. Juggling wallets, picking the right chain, walletconnect hell, ... User friendly, yeah :). Meanwhile, people paying with lightning: scan or open an invoice in a wallet, click send, instant confirmation, almost no fees, done. Reconsider.
