I’ve been on nostr for a couple years and have made several friends here who I have met in “real life” as well. Nostr is very unlike other social networking experiences because there are so many facets to it. I joined in order to have a place to show my artwork and interest in watches. There are many people here that are selling various foods, artwork, and various handmade stuff, for bitcoin. I would compare nostr to a worldwide craft fair. There are many people here that love technology as well, and are happy to help you find your way around, setting up relays, helping you to find other clients (ways to access nostr), etc. Feel free to reach out with questions by adding #asknostr to the end of your post and you’ll get answers quickly.
