Today it&#39;s 219.87. 🔥&#xA;&#xA;EPRA&#39;s own numbers, one month apart. Petrol went from 214.03 to 226.96. Diesel, 217.86 to 227.76. Everyone is arguing about petrol at the pump — matatu fares, drivers, conductors. Loud arguments! 🚌&#xA;&#xA;But kerosene rose by 28.49 bob a litre. Almost 15% in one month. And kerosene doesn&#39;t argue. It&#39;s the jiko in the kitchen, the light a kid does homework under, the last option in the house that already cut everything else. The steepest hike landed on the people with the thinnest margin. 🍲&#xA;&#xA;A driver can pass the fare to a passenger. But that mama boiling githeri for four children can&#39;t pass anything to anyone. She just pays. Quietly. That&#39;s the part that doesn&#39;t trend. 🤫&#xA;&#xA;When the price of everything can be reset in one afternoon by a statement you weren&#39;t consulted on, you learn to keep something aside that can&#39;t be repriced. That&#39;s not financial advice. It&#39;s just what this month taught again. 🙏&#xA;&#xA;https://www.epra.go.ke/sites/default/files/2026-09/Press%20Release%20Maximum%20retail%20petroleum%20prices%20in%20Kenya%20-%2015th%20September%202026%20to%2014th%20October%202026.pdf&#xA;&#xA;https://www.epra.go.ke/sites/default/files/2026-10/EPRA%20Press%20Release%20-Oct%20Fuel%20Prices.pdf</html></oembed>
