Yeah this is actually one of the reasons I even discovered Bitcoin. I was looking for the best way to protect the wealth I did get to keep so I could focus on my actual job. But you're right that more than just money is taken. My body is being unnecessarily rekt and so is my mind, even though I don't spend as much time on trying to protect myself from inflation. A part of us is still being extracted by an unproductive area of the system.
I think this issue would improve greatly with an actual free market. Regulation (health and insurance), CON laws, etc make it difficult to compete in every area I know of. The primary option for many of us is to leave the industry. Brain drain.
People like Michael Burry come to mind. Wasn't Saylor an engineer? The incentives are to do financial nonsense. Nothing against those two, just using them as examples.

I want to talk about Google, the matrix, and the truth about what’s happening in the physical world right now.
Google is under criminal investigation in Finland. Why? Because to build its massive AI data centers, they illegally cleared and drained 815 acres of forest—felling an estimated 400,000 trees. They stripped the topsoil, turned it into a muddy wasteland, and the runoff is polluting local rivers. It even drove wolves into nearby villages. And what did Google say? They apologized and said they acted on their "best understanding" of the law.
This is the system. It claims to be building the future, but it is destroying the real world to do it. It operates on force, extraction, and the violation of the laws it pretends to uphold.
But here is the thing: We don’t have to accept this. AI doesn't have to be a destroyer of the planet. It can be built with stewardship.
Here is how we build AI more green 💚 without destroying the water and the earth:
1. Stop the Air-Cooled Madness (Water & Energy)
Cooling is the biggest drain. Traditional data centers use massive amounts of water and energy. We need to mandate liquid and immersion cooling. Submerging servers in non-conductive fluid can cut energy use by nearly 50% and drastically reduce water consumption.
2. Turn Waste Heat into a Resource
Data centers generate massive heat. Instead of venting it into the atmosphere, we can capture that heat and pump it into local district heating grids to warm homes. We can even use it to power Direct Air Capture to remove CO2 from the atmosphere.
3. Build on "Dead" Land, Not Living Forests
We need to stop clearing virgin ecosystems. Repurpose existing sites—closed coal plants, old industrial sites. They already have grid connections. Stop tearing down forests and start redeveloping what’s already dead.
4. Make the AI Leaner
The greenest compute is the compute you don't need to run. We need to use sparse models and route simple queries to smaller, efficient models instead of firing up massive, power-hungry systems for every little thing.
5. Real Accountability & Enforceable Laws
Corporations need to be held criminally liable for destroying the environment. We need mandatory environmental impact assessments, strict setbacks from residential areas, and closed-loop recycling of the hardware.
The matrix wants us to believe we have to choose between technology and the planet. That is a lie. We can build the future with real stewardship. We can use the tools of the matrix to build the Kingdom—not to burn it down.

This attacks AOSP telephony, so I think graphene probably is affected unless there's some kind of patch already.
Either way, this is something graphene could patch that stays unlatched in android indefinitely. Kind of one of the big strengths of graphene (even if most carriers would filter out such a message).
